Bring the beauty of sung prayer into your church each Sunday. Psallite is a new, one-of-a-kind music program inspired by the antiphons and psalms of the Roman Missal.
The name Psallite comes from Psalm 47 verse 8, psallite sapienter, “sing praise with all your skill.” This style of music is eclectic and very singable. The songs connect liturgy and life, church and home, with marvelous, and memorable, antiphons to transform your heart and your life. Once this music gets under your skin, there’s no turning back.
Psallite provides three songsentrance, responsorial, and communionfor each Sunday and Solemnity of the three-year liturgical cycle, as well as for sacramental celebrations and funerals. The music of Psallite clearly reflects the role of liturgical music envisioned in the new General Instruction of the Roman Missal. Singing the music of Psallite restores psalm-singing as the primary prayer language. These songs are easy to learn, they’re flexible and can be performed with or without instruments. They are powerful prayer resources for the liturgy and the spiritual practice of lectio divina, praying the Scriptures.
The beautiful music of Psallite is antiphon and psalm based, allowing the whole congregation, cantors, and choir members to sing the Mass instead of simply singing at Mass.

“We have used selections from Psallite at a number of events sponsored by the Office for Worship. The variety of styles and the short, easy-to-sing refrains make Psallite an attractive and
valuable resource.” Sandra L. Dooley
